After the rough end to the year that was 2014 - bush fires raging through Larneuk Stud, the farm's Neville Murdoch is pleased to be right back on track after months of clean up and recovery.
And keeping the smile on his face are the strong credentials of his 2015 line-up - three exceptionally good-looking and well priced stallions; Cluster, Ilovethiscity and O'Lonhro.
"We have focused on providing breeders with value options," Murdoch said, "and we are pleased to offer a variety of pedigrees - confident that we have a horse to suit everyone."
Murdoch is thrilled with the way in which the new boy on the block, Cluster, has settled in - "he is a lovely horse with a great attitude and he is taking everything into his stride," he said.
A son of son Fastnet Rock and the classy Last Tycoon mare Tarcoola Diamond, Cluster was a stunning 9 1/4 length maiden winner en route to victory in the Gr.2 Theo Marks Stakes.
He was highly rated by trainer Peter Snowden who noted that the handsome bay had "a massive amount of acceleration."
Also well thought of by connections, Ilovethiscity was a brilliant winner of the Gr.1 Randwick Guineas with trainer Graeme Begg describing the dashing chestnut as "up there with the best I have trained."
By the classy and reliable Magic Albert, Ilovethiscity hails from the prolific family of high class stallions Grosvenor and Lonhro.
It is a son of the latter that makes up Larneuk's roster, the aristocratic O'Lonhro - record-breaking Gr.2 Chelmsford Stakes winner - an emerging stallion with his three-year-olds in great form.
With 21 of his first 24 runners being prize money earners, O'Lonhro has been represented by nine smart winners, the likes of Lirabird, Beau Padrille, Big Boy Jackie, Je Suis Prest displaying plenty of ability.
